Jane, 1. Go to www.freelists.org 2. Click on the link labeled Find, Join, or Leave a List 3. Enter bookshare in the Keyword Search field and hit Enter 4. Click on the link for the Bookshare list you want 5. Enter your e-mail address in the Enter Your E-Mail Address field 6. Choose Turn Digest Mode On in the combo box that follows that field 7. Press the Go button below the combo box That should do it unless you have to confirm the change. If you do, then you should receive a confirmation message that you'll have to respond to. When I tried i wsa not successful. Originally I got the list in digest mode -- Jesse set it up for me. But when I changedmy e-mail address, I couldn't do it, even though I went to the ecarta site -- or whatever it's called. I decided that I like the individual posts better. I can immediately the mail if it doesn't interest me, even, now that people are being careful about the subject line, deciding fromthe subject line whether I want to read it or not. In the digest I had to scroll through a message that wasn't interesting to me to get to the next one. Also, when I wanted to reply, I had o delete all the other posts so they wouldn't show up. I finally figured out to write my reply and to whom it was going a separate Word file and wait until I finished reading all the posts Twenty-five posts are usually in one digest, which also means that yo don't get to see them until twenty-five are accumulated -- so sometimes you're reading a post after other people have a;ready answered the question.
