-Thank you all for your input. It doesn't seem to matter at all what I do to differentiate single quotes from apostrophes, you all get the punctuation as apostrophes. While I was waiting to hear, I did go back and convert all the single quotes in this book using the combined keys rather than using the apostrophe key, but I wonder if they?ll even stay in this txt document. Despite what Guido said, the em dash does not look like an em dash to me in the txt file, or when I enlarge the font again to continue working. I hope it does to whomever of you reads this book ? though I suppose it doesn?t make a whole lot of difference to the meaning as you read. Fortunately, I haven't come across many instances of single quotes. There are probably an unusual number in this book (Delusions of Grandma, by Carrie Fisher, which I'll finish validating soon). But the person who originally brought up the subject -- Scott? David? obviously has a book with a lot of them, too. Thanks again. I appreciate the info and any suggestions as to how to make books easier for you all to enjoy. Cindy _______________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
