It hasn't been announced here yet, but that problem appears to have been fixed. I tried both "m" and "b" and am now getting a more plausible number of authors listed - that is, a lot more than one. <smile>.

Cindy,

The author problem is in browse books, and then you select browse by author. There is a list of all the letters in the alphabet and when you press enter
on a letter, it usually lists all the authors whose last names begin with
that letter. It is a round about way, but is good if you want to find new
authors or do not know the spelling of an author's name.

Hope this helps,

Sue S.

Are you using advanced search or simple search?
Advanced search doesn't seem to be working at the
moment, unfortunately, but simple search, if you know
an author or title, seems to be o.k.

Wow! I did the same thing and got American
Association of Museums for the
letter m, and got Gary Paul Nabhan, for the letter
n. You're doing nothing
wrong. I've searched by author by hitting "enter"
on the letter thing many
times since I started here. It is apparently broken
now for more than "m"
and "n", perhaps all of them, though. I just went
to the letter "t" and am
getting only one author there as well, Simms Taback.
 It seems that the
first author is the only one listed now, assuming
these are the first
listings in each letter, which seems likely.

I wrote support about this, but maybe someone else
has solved the problem.
Whatever happened to searching by author. Let's
face it, we can't always
remember the spelling, and it helps to pull up all
the authors whose name
begin with a particular letter.
Guess what. The letters m and n only have one
author to them. That leaves
out a few hundred.
I found the letter and entered on it. What did I
do wrong?
