We have tried producing books with both open book 9 and pearl and with k1000
and hovercam and have had pretty unsatisfactory results.  Yes, you can
produce a readable book but Susan says the formatting is awful.

You can purchase a used OpticBook 3600 for under $200 used. Because it is a
book-edge scanner, it is definitely nondestructive.
