Hi, My scanner is from Epson. You can find them at Epson.com. It is a TWAIN scanner, but I use it with the Epson software that is shipped with the scanner because it is the best so far at interfacing with the scanner which is quite understandable. The program is extremely accessible with JAWS; I have not tried it with any other screen reader. I have the GT 15000 model, for which I also purchased the automatic document feeder accessory. The entire order cost me around $2.7 thousand, so it is expensive, but a very excellent scan quality indeed. Sincerely, Munawar A. It all depends on how its implemented. Plus the quality of the scanner is not always perfect. Believe me, even standards can be poorly done. TWAIN is TWAIN. But then, I don't use anything but retail products for scanning. So nless there's some technical reason you shouldn't use a all in one unit from walmart, I'd say go for it anyway. ----- Original Message ----- From: Monica Svopa To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, January 26, 2007 3:59 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] scanners Hello to all. I had spoken to Kurzweil yesterday and they had said that the All In One scanners do not work well with there software. So, based on this answer, what scanners are you all currently using or would recommend for me to buy. I'm getting a compter with windows XP. I'd appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thanks again in advance for your help. Monica
