Hi, Jamie. Yes, I do like the 3170, but it's no longer being made anymore, I don't believe. I'm almost positive, anyway, but if you see one on eBay, yes, it is good. I love mine. Take care. -- Julie Morales Email & Windows/MSN Messenger: mercy421@xxxxxxxxxxx http://juliemorales.avonrepresentative.com/ Currently in Winchester Regional, Virginia Clear, 37F°(3C°) Wind:Calm Dummy: Sit in the tunnel and wait for the light to come to you! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jamie Yates" <jamieyates@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, December 11, 2006 1:51 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: scanner recommendations? Hi Julie, so an Epson 3170 is a good scanner then? I'm going to start a list. It is hard to find scanning speeds when you look at a product on a website. I also looked in Staples at some of their printer/scanner combos and none of them listed scanning speeds. They all want to tout the printing speed. I did find out I'm being given an HP PSC 1210v All in One printer which has a flat bed scanner. The printer part doesn't work quite right which is why I've never liked combo products. But for free I'm willing to try out the scanner!
