Hi monica, I am also under the impression that the hold for was added to the
file name once submitted. The book Nancy checked out was one I submitted,
and I did not put hold for in the file name. It is strange to say the least!
I still have the original on my flash drive.

Hi Nancy. The file name of a book will stay the same, even if a person's
hold is removed from the title on Bookshare. So that's probably why your
book seemed to have no hold on it, but the file name had one. In that case,
you're not doing anything wrong. When I submit books to be held for someone,
I don't put the hold for part in my file name because it can be carried over
to the final daisy book's file names. If I want a book held for someone, I
just put the hold for part in the title field of the book submission form.
I've noticed that a lot of people do it differently though. I have several
daisy books on my hard drive from Bookshare with file names like Hold For
Barbara A To Z Bar Cookies. (grin) I hope they'll fix that one day since
it's kind of weird to go hunting for a book under the word "hold" instead of
the first word of the title. Hmm. Bar cookies. Now I'm hungry! Lol!

Hi everyone,

This note is strictly to save my reputation.

I checked out a book and downloaded it. I saw no hold. However when I
found the file on my computer, the filename indicated the book was on hold.
I released it, reported it, and erased it. Don't want to be considered
among the (jiffy proofreader) crowd.
