As I recall, TOR was not on the list of publishers that Bookshare is working with, so you might consider them as safe, at least for now. But who knows if that may change.

Even publishers working with Bookshare don't seem to put up books in any predictable manner. A proofreader and I did the three books of Peter F. Hamilton's Void trilogy. The first two were replaced in December, but the third book came out last August, and our copy, which was added to the collection On January 17 is still up there. So the two of us got to read the bookk, as well as anyone else who got it in the last five months. If we had waited for the publisher to send it, we, and anyone else who wanted to read it, would still be waiting.

You can't let yourself be parralyzed by worrying about what might happen in the future.

As far as how far back, it really depends on the publisher. Some publishers are converting much of their catalog to epub, but others aren't really going back that far. I know I've definitely seen books from the '90's, and have even seen a few from the '80's, especially if the author is very popular.
I'm not a fantasy fan, so couldn't really tell you any publishers.

A submitter I work with a lot has kind of given up because of all the PQ
books. His favorite genre is fantasy/SF, and he's done a lot of great

Is there a safe list I might suggest to him? Is the older stuff liable to
be replaced by PQ? How far back is the PQ likely to go?
