Open the .rtf in MS Word, type a space, then delete it, and pick Save.

Then they shall upload.

Has something to do with the "formatting markers"

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] rtf problems

Hey guys,
I don't knwo what the deal has been today,b ut I've validated two books
using kurzweil editing with some mixed success. I have kurzweil
9.01. I've downloaded two rtf books, and both books after re editing with
kurzweil and re uploading, I got the error (not valid rtf). Anyone else
got this? Has bookshare changed anything that would alter rtf uploading as
it has worked in the past?

Why do I continue being a problem dude? I've always been a difficult case.
