At present we can email booksharescans@xxxxxxx if we find books in bad shape. Thus the reason Rui has a list of books that need a rescan.

The unofficial bookshare site with lists of books which are in the system and whose quality needs improving is valuable to volunteers and to bookshare.

I suggest bookshare patrons need a way to give the staff and the volunteers about a book.

I suggest a form or at least an appropriate email for them to use. For instance there could be info which says to send comments about a book to bookquality@whatever. The email address is exclusively about particular books. The message needs to contain name of book and author plus any other comments user wants to provide.

I know this may make more work for the staff but I do think we need this kind of feedback. Unless there are security issues, perhaps volunteers could work through the or have access to it, minus the user's email info perhaps. This is just the beginning of a thought so many specifics would need to be worked out.
