We used to have the renewal link all the time, but that was broken in one
of the site “upgrades’'”. And, just like when submitters lost our quality
reports when putting up a book, unless something absolutely keeps the site
from working at all, once a feature is broken, it doesn’t usually get fixed.

O.K. I appreciate receiving reminders that my book is soon to expire ( in
this case in 3 days) but not when the Renew link isn't there. ( and/or
isn't there when I check my list of checked-out books before getting a
reminder. Is synchronizing the link with a reminder really an impossibly
difficult challenge for Engineering? OR having teh link there permanently
until one clicks on it?
