  Subject: [bksvol-discuss] quick chapter numbering/heading question

  Hey guys;
  In a book that I have the chapter headings are only identified by the
numerical number"1" (without the quotation marks); my question should I center
it or maybe put the word chapter in front of the word?
  Allow me to say this, at first glance, I was confused because I figured it
was the page numbers and not the chapters, it wasn't until I was up to chapter
8 and saw that the page numbering was somewhat off and that I got things
"screwed up". Fortunately, for me, I always keep the last copy I proofed and
only had to go back and re-work it. So, what should I do...put the
word-chapter- in front of the number or center the number and maybe put in the
three *'s to keep the tool from placing text on the same line.
  Your thoughts please,
