Hello,
I'm scanning a book for the first time for bookshare. I checked the lists of
what is being scanned and on the wish list. When I tried to open the
attachment of publishers and other sources my computer would not respond.
Is there something else I need to do to let someone know what book I'm
scanning or does the book just go into the system when I submit it?
Also I read the scanning mannual but was unclear as to whether I needed to
take off headers or whether the tool strips them when I submit the book,

Thank you. Glad to be of value.
Everyone should also be aware that my technical knowledge on all matters
related to scanning and proofing is very minimal.
I will continue to be primarily a lurking presence interjecting when i can
clarify. This leaves the responsibility on each person in the list
community to build up their knowledge and share it on-list or in private
emails and IMs. It also leaves me freer to work on the systems and
learning resourcres at this end that make mastering these skills easier
