Hi all,

<sigh> I need to renew the book I took for validation a week ago. Unfortunately, I have to go to a funeral today for the father of a dear friend. In addition, I am also grieving for another dear friend who has just passed away. I have several other immediate things which have popped up to make completion of this validation impossible within the time frame I've been given. Please, would somebody tell me how to renew this book? I want to validate it. It's a good book, and I need to read it right now. It's a Catherine Marshall book. How do I renew it? Thanks most awfully.

This is OT, but I'm posting it to all the blindness related lists I know of because there are so many, many people that have been touched by Lisa Carmelle. My dear friend Lisa passed away yesterday at 17:25. She was and is one of the shining lights in advocacy, in blindness issues, in human caring and in just plain living with gusto and verve! I can't quite believe she's gone. Anyway, to anyone who knew her, For The People is arranging a memorial service on Sunday. If you want the time, write me later this week. I don't know the specifics yet. All I do know is that Lisa touched thousands and thousands of people in her sixty-three years of living and they will want to know about this.
