Bud, I don't see it anywhere. But I am sure that my version 11 reads it, apparently by default. Have you tried it?

Hi Cindy,Thanks for the info. I don't have the book any more and I have sent it off to bookshare to be validated. My wife took it back to the library today. So I guess it will pass muster if everything else is ok. I have another question however; I can't find where the setting is for reading white on black. In earlier versions it used to be available. Surely they haven't cut it out. Thanks to everybody for all their help. I act like a beginner but I have been doing this for several years now and thoroughly enjoy it.BudOften, if not usually, the different numbers are for different editions or printings, i.e., there's one number for paperback, one for hardbound, one for llibrary ed., etc. Usually it will sat pbk or hrdb or something in parenthese after the ISBN. The problem is that without the book in hand, you wouldn't know which to use. But you do have the print books whenyou scan, don't you, Bud? Anyway, as others have said, ISBN numbers on the form are optional. They do help validators who like to use the exact print book to help with the validation, though.
