Hi Ann, Was it, by any chance, at the beginning of a new section? I don't know why, but the starts of new sections, usually a change in scene, had some spurious characters. I took them out, because with them gone, the text made much more sense. Like Mayrie said, copy the lines and I'll try to help you out. Ellen
