I like all of Mary's suggestions though it might be even better if we could get
a warning when we had fifty characters left or something in the short synopsis
field. As I suggested earlier, I believe there is a better solution which is a
single longer synopsis which goes both places. This could be a maximum number
of characters but could include a warning when you are approaching the point of
no submission.

There have been some good editions suggested recently:
Make it possible for volunteers to enter/alter suggested synopses;
Make it so that when you're typing a synopses into the short synopsis field,
you get a warning when you've hit the max number of characters: e.g. nothing
more prints to the screen as you type, and an error tone
sounds as you type;
include reason for rejection with rejection notice.

Ok, that last one isn't an improvement to the site, just to the process. I'd be
interested in hearing some comment from staff regarding whether these might be
implemented in the near term, or at all.
