I would not oppose that, but you know that there are those who would want to use it to prohibit people from accessing such books. And, no, I am pretty sure that a minor volunteer is not prohibited from proofing any books. They just have not gone far enough into the approval process for that.

IMDB has a place where parents can indicate if a film or TV series has sex or nudity or violence or gore: "Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by *describing the facts* of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: /Sex and Nudity/, /Violence and Gore/, /Profanity/, /Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking/, and /Frightening/Intense Scenes/.

I think bookshare should have something like this; perhaps like the categories that one can check, there can be a place where one can simply check a category such as those listed above; then we wouldn't have to make decisions as to whether an Adult rating is necessary, and no one would be blocked from downloading a book/ BTW, if a book is given an adult rating by the scanner, is a minor prevented from raking it from the checkout-to-prof queue?
