How many pages does the book contain? It is possible that whoever scanned the book scanned two pages at a time but as one page. If, however, the book has the correct number of pages, just ignore the soft page breaks or make your pages bigger. The thing that counts is hard page breaks, and there is a number associated with those. When you find a pagebreak that has no page number on one side or the other, and on which the text just continues on the next line, but it says "page break," Bookshare takes care of those. Your page count will be incorrect in Word, but Bookshare will figure it out correctly.
