Jake mentioned watching where the blank pages are inserted. IN general I have found Kurzweil does a very good job at getting them in the correct order. It should recognize page breaks whether those settings are on or off. But you definitely want to have two-page recognition on if you are scanning two pages at a time. Otherwise, half the page breaks will be missing. We absolutely don't want that. ----- Original Message ----- From: Agape <mailto:agapepetsitting@xxxxxxxxx> Pet Sitting To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, August 22, 2006 3:21 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: page breaks So if you are scanning with Kursweil and optimized the settings will the page breaks and it is set to recognize 2 pages and column itdenification is enabled, will the page breaks automatically be There? Laura Ann At 01:35 PM 8/22/2006, you wrote: Hi Linda, You're not boring, and please don't resign from validating. From what you said here, inserting the page breaks in this book won't be that difficult, and it's clear that you would much prefer to do this than to reject the book. From how you explained what is happening I can tell that you already understand page breaks quite well. To know where to insert them, you'd want to look at the header. Is there a line break between the book's page numbers and the headers with the title and author? If not, you can just insert the page breaks before the headers by pressing ctrl-enter in Microsoft Word. I recommend that you let Lissi and/or Kaitlyn help you with this issue. Dealing with page breaks or the lack thereof is a very useful skill for Bookshare as well as for other purposes, so getting a handle on it will go beyond just helping you with this book.
