I am diabetic and eat potatoes all the time. They are treated like any other starch exchange. You just can't overdo it, like you can't overdo bread, rice, beans or any other starchy food.

Hi, Debby, I have gotten stuff from Schwann's once, but it didn't include pizzas. I got the Mediterranean vegetable blend, boneless pork cutlets, cheesy taters, wild rice pilaf, parmesan chicken breasts, and praline ice cream bars. I haven't got pizzas from them because there are three pizza places which can deliver to my house, namely, Papa John's, Domino's, andL.A. Pizza Company which used to be a round Table Pizza franchise until the owner decided to add chicken dinners, pastas, more appetizers, and desserts. I like pizza, don't get me wrong, but I don't think I'd have it every day. Itend to crave cheeseburgers as long as the cheese is cheddar, with onionsand no tomatoes. I haven't outgrown my love of potatoes, especially browned,home-fried, hash browns, French fries, mashed, boiled and seasoned with loads of salt, pepper, paprika, and lovely butter, and stuffed bakedpotatoes and potato skins are as well loved as those potato latkes. The sad part about potatoes is you can't manage them if you have diabetes, or that'swhat I'm told. I don't have that yet and hope I don't get it because it would be hard to give up my favorite vegetable or tuber.
