Shane, thanks for your note. As for photos, I will not be using the scanner for that. I just thought I would install it in case my husband wants to use it. Thanks for your help.

Hi Monica. please allow me to say here, that the optic book is not the best scanner for scanning photos. While it does come with such software, unless your husband intends to use it for photos, the only thing you'll really use out of that whole package, especially if you have k1000 version 11 installed, is the action express software, that's needed to drive the scanner with k1000.
