    Yeah, you may have to give up on these. I once had a book--a very 
low-quality paperback--that had some pages with globs that really wouldn't scan 
although I patiently altered every setting I could think of and scanned the 
same pages over and over. The book was good enough for me to use in my class, 
but I didn't submit it to Bookshare. 
    It was thoughtful of you to try scanning these since they don't interest 
you.
