Me too, as far as the best, it is Grayscale and 400 dpi, seems to give the 
best results.

Hi Cindy,

         I seem to get very favourable results using gray scale to
scan jacket flaps.  Nothing else seems to give me anything but
jibberish.  Not like I don't type enough jibberish of my own.  Laugh.
