Hello.

Most of this is directed toward the infamous E, but, all may enjoy.
Though I've been a Bookshare member for a while, and have been
subscribed to this list for quite some time, this is my first post.
I've only recently had the time to sit down and start proofing thanks
to being away from the office due to a broken leg, but that's a
different story. Thanks to 4 wonderful friends, one of whom is Amber,
encouraging me to get active, I'm finally doing it. Not sure if the
other 3 want their names mentioned, so...

At first, I wasn't going to comment, but as Amber is a good friend, I
too am offended and annoyed by your comments, E. Sadly, I've seen
your comments here and on the regular Bookshare list, and angering
people seems to be your M.O. I don't generally like to start fights
or get in the middle of them, but I will say that what you said in
response to Amber's post was rude and out of line. Also, in reading
your comments, it gave me the imprression that you place a pretty low
priority on what you do as a volunteer. If that's the case, then why
keep doing it? Is it for the credits toward membership? Not saying
that's a bad reason, just curious.

I realize she doesn't need me, or anyone else, to back her, but
reading this thread got me truly irritated and I felt the need to say
something. Amber's a wonderful friend, and a great volunteer. I'm
finishing my first couple proofs, and will be honored to proof
anything she puts up.

Wes
