HI Monica,
With books that you scan, you are free to do as you like for your personal
use. They are, after all your privately owned books. If you mean, is it
possible to make mp3's out of scanned text, the answer is yes. You need
either Kurzweil 1000, Text Aloud, or perhaps Open Book has that capability
as well.
