It’s pretty big. Not sure of the exact measurements, but it’s probably around 9 inches by 12. Checking with an 8 and a half by 11 inch sheet of paper, that’s about what it looks like. It’s certainly not the largest scanner out there, but since it’s intended for scanning books one page at a time, with the other page hanging over the edge, it doesn’t have to be huge. However, you can do books in two page mode if you like. I generally don’t, but for mass market paperbacks with close margins, sometimes I have to. What kind of books have you done with it? Sent from my iPhone On Feb 19, 2015, at 7:56 PM, Evan Reese <mentat1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: I use an OpticBook 3600 book edge scanner. I’ve had it for three years now and it works great. If it dies, I’ll be online to get the newer model, the 3800, faster than you can say BSO. <smile> Evan From: taylorarndt99@xxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, February 19, 2015 6:23 PM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: looking to scan for someone with a special request Just I curiosity, what kind of scanners you guys use to scan these books? I'm just curious because some scanners are little and you can't even fit a whole book in there Sent from my iPhone On Feb 19, 2015, at 6:21 PM, <ohio1803@xxxxx> <ohio1803@xxxxx> wrote: If someone wishes to send me a book that they are really interested in getting done, or give me the title, I can check our local library. I have an interest in scanning several to earn a few more credits before renewal time in April. I did look over the Wish List. Some of them looked good, but I worried a bit that they may be in process. Thanks. Richard (Rik) James Email me directly if you wish.... d28rik at msn dot com.
