I don't understand this either and it is generally my policy not to change punctuation in a book I'm scanning, so I hope someone will tell me if there's something I need to know before scanning the book. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Grandma Cindy" <popularplace@xxxxxxxxx>

I'm curious. I've changed smart quotes to straight
quotes on occasion, because they were facing in the
wrong direction at the beginning of sentences, and it
was easier than continuing to change them
individually. Is that the problem with them? Or is it
something in the reading or listening?

Hi all,

Thanks a million! Just make sure not to put any
smart quotes in it.
Smart Quotes aren't!
