Hi Jill,

Yes, I have noticed a lot of that in large print books. At first I
struggled with them but now, like you, I only validate them if I am
interested in reading them. Then I correct as I go.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] large print books

Has anyone else noticed how many words show up separated in large print
books? When I scan such a book, I can catch the errors, but when these books
are validated, many of these separated words are not caught. If we really
want to strive for high quality books, I suggest that the scanner include
the information that it is a large print book so that hopefully no one will
validate it unless they are willing to read the book. I'd be interested in
others' reaction to this suggestion. I'm validating such a book at present
but I only validate books I want to read.
