Excuse me for honinng in, but I get extremely perturbed when I call tech
support for Gateway and they ALWAYS ask if the computer is plugged in!!!

Guido, I changed that setting as you suggested yesterday. I've even closed
and reopened Kurzweil. Oh well, I'm getting a new computer soon; maybe it
will work on there. I'll be sure to apply the strategies that fake
alternative software management guide of yours. I'm assuming there's a
chapter discussing the most effective ways to beat some sense into the
computer--is it best to smack the sides or the top? <lol> I don't think I'll
pester tech support over this issue.
