Not sure Robert if you are referring to Kurzweil.

Smile.

But shall try to help.

1. place your curser over the offending character.

Go to Edit, then Replace.

Put the character in the find box, if it is not there already, and then put
a "space" in the replace.

And wellah.

You can also search for \t, which is the tab character and remove all the
junk around it.

2. Nextup.com has several free voices, that don't sound too horribly. Also
you should have gotten the IBm Via voices as well. Nextup is also the place
to purchase the ATT Naturals and other high quality speech synths. I use
the ATT Naturals for creating MP3s and the like.

Hmmm.

The vision must be followed by the venture. It is not enough to
stare up the steps - we must step up the stairs.

This is on the subject line of help but just for the heck of it, I had to
start over on a book today that I was doing in open book and just for one
brought what I did so far in the rank spelling from 94% to 97% and was
wondering how to select a junk character, say black slash and get rid of it.
And another question, for some reason it only installed the Microsoft voices
which sound like crap and so does Paul and Kate. Where can I get voices and
what folder do you install them in to sound better?
