Hi Bud,When you searched, were you logged into Bookshare, and do you have no limitations specified on your account? If you are not logged in, or have it specified on your account that you only want to see excellent quality books when searching, absolutely everything might not show up. Just a thought.
I too have scanned books already in the collection that I didn't find when searching for no reason that I could discover. I sympathize.

Hi, I don't know exactly what you mean. I did search for the title before I did it and it wasn't listed. Thanks. I'll check under title and author both after this and hope I have better luck.BudAt 04:53 PM 6/1/2008, you wrote:Hi Bud,If you go to the simple search feature, which is the first one shown that says, "type title or author", and type the title of a book, it searches the entire collection for the titlle. It is too bad about your work being a waste of time, but you should always check the collection first.Hope this helps, Sue S. ----- Original Message ----- From: <mailto:budschwab@xxxxxxxxxxx>Bud Schwab To: <mailto:bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, June 01, 2008 6:28 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: just submitted Power Play Hi,This makes me kind of angry, having spent many hours trying to get the book in good shape for validation. I looked in the list before I did it and it wasn't listed there. Isn't there one place where simple people like us can look to find out if a book is already there or not? I spent many hours trying to get it in good shape for validation.Angry Bud t 12:24 PM 6/1/2008, you wrote:Power Play was a New York Times bestseller in September 2007 so it's already in the collection at http://www.bookshare.org/web/SingleTitle.html?submittitleid=45748.Carrie ----- Original Message ---- From: Bud Schwab <budschwab@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, June 1, 2008 11:19:20 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] just submitted Power Play Hi Gang, I just sent in Power Play by Joseph Finder. It's a real thriller about a bunch of high rank executives who have been sent to a remote retreat in Canada to try to figure out why the company was in so much trouble, when a bunch of thugs invade their quiet and demand millions of dollars ransom. It came out quite clean and headers have been removed and blank lines put between top of page and chapter and between chapter and top line of text. It's quite a thriller. Has about 370 pages. However when I convert it to rtf it starts page numbering with page one for the first page and messes up the page numberring which matched before. I guess that always happens and validators must know how to deal with it. It gets a bit gruesome in some places with some murders. Happy validating.
