Hi Bud,
No you're not slow, it's just a tedious process.
I usually search for the page break characters, mark the header part
I want to get rid of, delete it, and search for the next match. I
get into a bit of a rhythm, but after a while I start getting
distracted and end up hitting the wrong keys, in the wrong order, and
then I know it's time to take a break.

I just said that I submitted Final Jeopardy by Linda fairstein. It
scanned very clean and I did the usual rank spell, delete
headersand put a blank line between page number and text. That's
basically what I said except that it takes me a long time to do the
page number thing and wondered if any of the validators had some
magic way of doing it. I don't mind doing it but it takes me
litterally several hours to do it. Maybe I'm just slow.
