I agree. I was surprised when I saw it on the checkout page, but the subject
looked interesting so I got it. But this is the first time I've ever seen an
outsourcer's book on the checkout page.

Hi Bob, I confess to being a bit mystified by this, mainly because I don't
see why a book from an outsourcer would be on the check out list at all. I
didn't know they ever had been. I thought the check out list was for volunteer
submissions only.

The book was submitted by Daproim Africa, one of our outsourcers. The book
I got from the checkout list was also from Daproim Africa, and was in fine
shape. The only thing I remember doing to it, besides a couple of
scanning/spelling errors, was to move the pictures to the back of the book to
make it more readable.
I regret the loss of time it took to verify that this book was in fine
shape, and, frankly, I regret the loss of credits (I'd submit a financial
statement but it would just depress both you and me).
I guess all I'm saying is please be more careful bookshare. I'd hate to
spend the rest of my life proofreading books that are already in the collection.
