When I submit a book, I have that problem all the time, and I'm finally starting to see the pattern. Every time my short synopsis ends up being too long, I never see an error anywhere. I finally now know that that's probably what it is, but it was so unnerving until I figured that out because I kept getting thrown back to the page to enter all that info, and all my information was still there except the file name, but no error message to tell me what I needed to fix. Since the only thing that was missing for me was the file name, for the longest time, I thought the error might have had something to do with that. Take care. Usually it does just before the field that has the error but in this case it didn't, jaws didn't read it though even though it was there. I guess there's a first time for everything. ----- Original Message ----- From: Sarah Van Oosterwijck To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, May 03, 2005 6:31 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: help with uploading I don't know why that happens to you and Sue, but it is not a problem you should be experiencing with JAWS 6 in any version of Windows. Please report your problem with all possible details to Freedom Scientific. You can send an E-mail to support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx so they can look in to it. If more than one person is having the problem it must not be just a strange thing that is messed up on your computer. I can read the browse button, but when I click it, JAWS goes completely silent. I can't even navigate in the box. Besides, the box doesn't look like a normal browse dialog. My husband can get through it, but JAWS is silent, so I just type the entire path myself. No big deal! (groan) I now have that particular path memorized. I started dreaming about the filename last night. I am the same person who dreamed she lived in the line drawing of the floor plan of my apartment.
