You can rerecognize images in K1000, but only if it is set to keep the images. I believe it is not set that way by default; (I've changed so many of my default settings that I don't recall what they were originally). But you probably have to turn that on in the General settings in order to retain images.

Just rerecognize the pages. All the images you scanned are still there, just do a recognition on them.
