Hello:

I am happily validating my first book using Word 2003 and I am a little confused.

JFW tells me where the page breaks are and then it says a page, for example, we'll use sixteen. Next to page sixteen is the name of the author or the title of the book, which I deleted. Underneath that is a number which I originally thought was the actual page of the book. I have been keeping those and moving through the book, but on page sixteen there is a number seven and then page 17 had the number 70 and after that it went back to page 18 having the number 13. For the most part, the numbers were in order.

So, after the page break, is the first page number the actual book page? Should I be deleting the numbers under the author's name? I am sorry if this sounds confusing, it confused me, too.
