As long as you are making that suggestion let me add another. As a science fiction fan since elementary school I occasionally think back to my beginnings as a science fiction fan. I absolutely cannot recall the title or author of the first science fiction book I ever read, but I do have some memories of the plot. However, I do remember the title of an early one. It was "The Solarians." I read that one when I was in junior high school and I think it was before I read through all the Heinlein juveniles that my school library had, so even though I was out of elementary school I was not long out of it. Recently I was browsing Open Library and it occurred to me that since Open Library lists nearly twenty-five million books they would probably list that one. They did and I was surprised to find out that the author was Norman Spinrad. I suppose I knew who wrote it back when I read it, but I had forgotten long ago. I did not necessarily expect that Bookshare would have it, but I decided to check anyway and it does. The quality, though, is fair. I have now seen enough of Bookshare fair quality books to know that fair is a nice way of saying awful. For that reason I did not make it a high priority to download it and relive my junior high school days. I notice that it was published in 1966 and that is the edition that Bookshare has. I must have read it about right after it was originally published. So if anyone wants to improve it I would like to see that happen. Otherwise, I may look into getting a copy and improving it myself or else download it and make a quality report. It is just not my highest priority right now even if I would like to read it again after all these years.
