When you are scanning a book, how do you make sure that pictures are included?
I mainly proofread, but it would be good to know for when I start scanning.
Openbook is the program I currently use. I suppose if there were pictures, I
could have a sighted proofreader look at them.

Sometimes I think pictures aren't necessary. I submitted a book earlier today
that had little drawings on it even though the description said "two color
pictures" or maybe two color drawings. They were only one color. Not that it
matters.

They were just like a drawing of a man's face or a woman's face or a baby
rattle. I didn't think the pictures did anything at all for the book and I left
them out. They were more of a pain in the butt to OCR around than anything.
