Elizabeth, there is a setting in Fine Reader where you tell it not to save line breaks. It's under tools, options, format tab, format settings. It's the same place where you tell it to save page breaks and eliminate extraneous hyphens. However, it could be putting in line breaks for other reasons. If you want to send me a sample, I'll look at it and see if I can figure it out. Make sure the sample has both line breaks you don't want and those you do want such as at the end of a paragraph.
