What about inserting a scan? Will this delete the bookmarks?

Hi Mickey and Bud,
I must have missed Bud's original post. To find the bookmarks section in

the Kurzweil manual, I used, yep, the Bookmarks feature.

Press CTRL+R to open the dialog then select the following options:
5. Accessing document navigation commands
Working with Bookmarks
and either use that first level, or you can pick a specific item dealing
with the feature.

It'll give all the details like the following note that tells where
Bookmarks can be saved

Notes:
Kurzweil 1000 preserves bookmarks only if you save your documents in the
Kurzweil 1000 .kes format or in the DAISY .opf format. If you change the
format, you'll lose the bookmarks you've already created.
If you cut a page that has bookmarks from the document, then paste it back,

either in the same document or another file, you'll lose the bookmarks.

HTH,
Jake
