Also, if one doesn't have a dictionary handy, one can put the word into google and get the correct spelling. I did this with my first validation, which was a biography of Aaron Copland and had a lot of names of musicians and composers, many of whom I knew but also many that I didn't. It took me over halfway through the book before I realized that I could borrow the book from the library and check the names and technical musical terms with the book. In the meantime, I had been putting them in google to check the spelling. I can't imagine what I was thinking--or more to the point, what I wasn't thinking.
