It depends. If it's material that needs to be read across the columns to be understood, then you need to get rid of the columns. In Openbook and Kurtzweil, we have a choice of reading one column at a time or reading across the columns, whichever fits, but that choice has to be made when the material is scanned. I have a book in which some material, like appendices and some figures, is
in columns.  I know I've gotten rid of columns before, but I don't
remember what I did.
Do I have to get rid of the columns, or can Bookshare deal with them?
If I have to do something about them, what is it?
