Yes, I'm in Word, sorry, I should have said. If ^n is the symbol for a column break, I will go forthwith and remove the pesky critters!

Which word processor are you working in? It differs depending on If you are in Word or Pages and which operating system. Doug says in Word you can find and replace ^n with nothing to eliminate them.
