Braille uses a double dash to indicate an em dash. However, unfortunately, the braille translator, or the processing Bookshare does before the book gets to the Braille translator, causes em dashes to be rendered as single dashes rather than double dashes, which is the Braille convention.

I didn't know that Braille doesn't have a long dash. I
change all double dashes to an em dash with a global
replace, and where there are single dashes and they
should be em dashes I change them by hand.
