I think writing to her is a great idea. You might tell her how many fans she has here (you probably were already planning t do that) and how many of her books are already scanned and in the collection. As for our buying her books -- I get mine from the library, but I've looked at the bookshelves in the grocery store and drugstores where they have popular paperbacks for sale and not one so far has had one of hers, though they do have other popular authors such as Maeve Binchey, Sandra Brown, Grisham, etc. I've wondered why.
