I just checked my email and there's still no note from Amanda (I wrote last
night or yesterday to see if she contacted her colleague (I didn't say
"boss" because I'm no t sure of their relation ship about my revised file
of Our Lady of Pain ; her last note (I don't remember when I received it
but several days ago at least) said she'd check with him; my revised proof
of Our Lady of Pain has been sitting in the Approval Q since Oct. 12. it's
getting more and more difficult to renew it (the library closes for
holidays and now for renovation; pretty soon my book will accrue fines
equal almost to buying book; I don't dare return the book t o library until
it's accepted, in case it needs more work;
