Pam,

RFBD only offers memberships to individuals who are American legal
residents/citizens who would be typically eligible to receive services when
in the United States. Until their immigration status changes, they are
still ocnsidered to be legal. I do not believe RFB&D is permitted to offer
memberships to non-american citizen living abroad.

I hope this helps.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] bookshare and copyright laws

Hi,

I was of the understanding that the reason that Bookshare couldn't
offer membership to people living outside the US, was due to the
nature of copyright laws. Someone on another list pointed out that
RFBD, however, offers its services to people outside the U.S. Why is
this, does anybody know?

Pam
