If that happened to me, I would release the book back to step 1 for Lena. There are so many books on step 1 that you can easily take another book. Good of you to post the question on this list. The post may alert Lena if she is on this list.

You could work on the book after releasing it but since it has a hold for somebody else on it you would have to assume that the person will take the book and work on it and your wrk validating will be lost. I would work on something else if I were you. Hope this helps.

The other day, I read with interest the thread on validators snapping up books that were designated as being on hold by other validators. I was puzzled by this because I'd never run across the situation before. Today, irronically, I downloaded the book The 36-hour Day. I saw no indication that the book was on hold until I unzipped the file. The title has the words On_Hold_For_Lena in it. How do I know that the book is on hold before I download it? Should I go ahead and work on it a while or release it back to step one. Help please.
