I agree that The Firebrand by Marion Zimmer Bradley needs re-scanning as do many of her other books including The Mists of Avalon.

In the case of the following books by her the issue is " -" and "- " in the middle of words. Other than this the books are in good shape.
The Firebrand
 The Priestess of Avalon
Darkover Landfall
Hawk-Mistress
The Gratitude of Kings
The Ruins of Isis
Heritage and Exile: The Heritage of Hastur/Sharra's Exile
The Saga of the Renunciates (Darkover Omnibus)

My point is this. If we are careful as validators, fewer of these kinds of errors get into the collection. I do hope the books now being approved do not need re-scanning in a couple of years. Perhaps the poorly scanned books are a symptom of earlier poorer scanning engines.

all the best,

E.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Theme: Finding Books To Scan for Bookshare

Where do you get the books you scan for Bookshare? Do you buy them? Do you
get them from your local public library? Does your family, friends, or
colleagues share their books with you? Do you find the Internet useful in
locating books that are free or inexpensive? These are just a few questions
Bookshare members visiting the Community Room the past several weeks have
asked. It seems appropriate, therefore, that during the Tuesday evening
